The Neurooncology Award 2024 – endowment 20,000 euros – was awarded to Dr Abigail Suwala, Junior Research Group Leader and Resident Department of Neuropathology, University Hospital Heidelberg, Germany. Her project “Nanopore sequencing to identify alternative transcripts in high-grade IDH-mutant astrocytomas” was supported. The laudatory speech was held by Prof Goldbrunner/Cologne

  The prize for neuroregeneration – endowment €10,000 – was awarded to Dr Marc Rüwe, Department of Plastic, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospital Regensburg Regensburg for the project “Functional MrI for SEnsory RecoverY – Functional MISERY-Trial”. The award will be presented at the NervClub 2025 annual conference in Bad Saarow.
